Traditional peanut butter ice cream recipe

Try this great recipe for peanut butter ice cream!

For this recipe you will need:

3 large eggs

8 ounces cold whole milk

1 cup sugar

2 cups heavy cream

3/4 cup peanut butter, creamy not chunky

3 teaspoons vanilla extract

Heat a pan and add milk, bringing it to a simmer.

Meanwhile, blend the sugar and eggs together until creamy.

Pour the milk into the bowl with the egg and sugar mixture. Blend together. After mixture is well blended, place mixture back into saucepan on low heat. Continue to stir the mixture with a whisk. Whisk continuosly for about 3 minutes. Remove the saucepan from the stove top and add peanut butter, mixing well.

Take the whole mixture and pour contents through a strainer. The mixture you have now is a 'custard'. Place the custard in a clean bowl. Add the cream and vanilla and stir. Place in a container and place container in the freezer overnight.
